Andy was born and raised in Tiburon. He attended Bel Aire, Del Mar and Redwood High Schools. Andy received his BA in Political Science and Literature from UCSD. In 2002, he completed his Marketing MBA studies at SFSU. Andy and his wife have owned homes in San Rafael and Novato, and they've previously lived in Corte Madera and San Francisco as well. They have been married since 1994 and have two young children, Skylee (born 07/2001) and Sabrina (born 8/2003).
Andy has been working with banks on a daily basis since January of 2007, prior to the mortgage debacle. As of July 3rd 2008 Andy was arguably one of the most effective short sale agent for transactions in Marin County. 7 out of 77 short sale listings in Marin County sold since 1/1/07 were Andy's (2 more than anyone else), and he represented two short sale buyers on his listings. Andy effectively transitioned to selling REO (Bank Owned) listings in 2008. As of November 14th 2008 he had closed 6 REOs for the year, and he had another 7 coming up with three different banks.
Andy also enjoys selling properties that are not in distress.
Andy is a member of the Bradley President's Club. He is an avid supporter and resource for
Marin Family Action, who provide a full spectrum of services to very low and low income Marin County residents. Andy participated as a panel member in a
foreclosure prevention seminar with the City of Novato on May 12th, the second such seminar he has did this in 2008. Both foreclosure prevention seminars were reported in the
Novato Advance. In June of 2008 Andy was also quoted in the
Marin Independent Journal on May's housing numbers.
Andy is heavily involved with the
Vallecito Elementary School PTA, co-chairing the
annual walk-a-thon, coordinating Movie Night (Ratatouille!) and helping re-route traffic in front of the school by advocating new drop-off and pick-up rules that made the school front safer. A devoted father, Andy is a monthly featured columnist for the website
www.thefatherlife.com and he has also been known to write freelance for newspapers like this piece that was published in the
Marin Independent Journal.
The purpose of this website is to offer useful market information to both buyers and sellers, and generate consultation/sales services. The online version of the Tiburon Real Estate Rag is a work in progress, and as such it was updated several times a week through the end of 2007. Early January 2008 saw updates almost daily. As 'The Rag' has taken shape in 2008 it now is updated monthly.
